Ah the happy couple! A surprise portrait commissioned by their friends to be a lasting happy reminder of the day he asked her for her hand in marriage! Rendered in graphite.
Size: 297 × 420 mm.
This was produced at the request of the person who purchased TJ049 - Not So Different which featured the hand of a Gorilla. He wanted a companion piece to contrast the way the human hand has evolved to lengthen the thumb making it more useful for gripping tools. Both Humans and Gorillas are Great Apes (Hominidae) of course.
